Wow, what a great little saw……
Had many chainsaws over the years like stihl, craftsman, echo, eager Beaver and McCullough, and some were good and some just didn’t start after sitting. I have had this one for a solid two weeks of use. Started 3rd pull out of the box. Starts right up everytime since. I run it at 35:1, book says 25:1 but that seems a little rich.
This little saw is light enough for one hand use, not recommended for safety reasons, and just cuts like crazy. Lopped off some very big pine tree limbs and cut done several medium trucks. Couldn’t be happier with this little saw.
Highly recommend. Blade has remained sharp way longer than expected. So far I have about 10 tanks of gas through it.
Note: it does have a little rattle in it somewhere, maybe the clutch, or linkage, but hasn’t seemed to effect it whatsoever. Just can’t beat it for the price. Its.my go to saw now even over the larger Stihl and my favorite pole saw. Happy hunting.

Great little saw for the $$$
PROs: Great little saw for the low $$$. Use high percentage oil with high-quality oil (I’m using 25:1 Amsoil 2-stroke) and like ANY two-stroke equipment like a saw, don’t work it at 100% right after start. You have to allow these engines to warm up a bit and work up the workload to get them fully warmed up. I love these type of saws for small work because you can use them one-handed while controlling the work with the other hand. It is reliable and runs well, and although the recoil start is very low effort, it takes several pulls to initially get it started. Once warmed it up it usually starts in one pull.
CONs: It takes several pulls to initially start it when cold, but since the pulls are easy, I can live with that. Like others have said, it does tend to stall out faster – I can live with that for what I am using it for. Like others have mentioned, Biggest CON – it is overly loud even at idle. My 14″ Ryobi is much quieter. If this thing was much quieter, it could be one of the best saws of its type (and cost) out there.

    Missing and defective parts
I purchased this chainsaw in preparation for hurricane Beryl that hit texas. I received the saw in time for the storm. I purchased this saw as something small that my wife would be able to use and it’s cheap enough that I wouldn’t feel bad lending it to a friend or neighbor. The first saw that I received was missing the bar. I would have gone out and purchased another one, but bars for this saw are roughly 1/3 of the price of a brand new one. I contacted Amazon and they issued me a refund and I placed an order for another saw. The new saw came in and had all of its pieces neatly placed in the box. After partial assembly I fueled it up and started breaking in the motor. I left the bar and chain off the Saw during break-in. The saw seems nice and snappy, and the carb is tuned extremely well out of the box. After break in, I bolted up the bar and chain. Then I noticed the major flaw. The band on the kickback break is slightly too small so it rubs on the clutch bell. This generates tons of heat as the saw cuts. I even tried the side cover from the other saw and it features the same defect. So now I have two saws that don’t work. I’m pretty disappointed. I guess I’m going back to Stihl power equipment for a name brand saw.

Super light , great price !
I needed a light weight chain saw to do limb work around the house . I didn’t need an expensive commercial saw for occasional use , so I picked out this one . Saw came very well packed in double box . Very easy to assemble . Great visible color and perfect 12″ bar size for me . I spent over an hour trying to get this saw to start and idle . Not till I adjusted the hi and low carburetor adjustment screws did I get this saw to start and stay running ! Once I did make those adjustments the saw ran great . Cut thru hardwood with ease . Very impressed with performance so far .

A few bugs, but good little saw.
This is a good, lightweight little saw. The only problem I had was that the chain break would not release at all. I fixed that by deleting it. One other note is that the instructions call for 25:1 fuel mix, while the saw is labeled 35:1. I had some 50:1 mix on hand. Two of those makes a 25:1 mix, so that is what I am using. This has been a very handy little saw for trimming up trails and general yard maintenance. It starts easily and is very easy to handle.

    So far so good.
Bought specifically for lightweight and small to use on a bunch of small trees. Just used to trim down 2 85ft tall trees and it worked great. Easy to start and can use one handed if need be. The break needs to be broke in a little its very stiff. But its tolerable. Overall very happy with the performance for the price point.

A good chainsaw, used to cut a tree stump and did the job.

so difficult to install the mind-boggling chain cover…
it is so difficult to install what i guess is called chain cover. And even after I finally could installed it, the chain doesn’t even move. I am exhausted. The problem seems to be due to A (see the photo attached) doesn’t fit into B (looks like a ring – I am not sure if that would highly possibly generate lots of heat even if A would fit into B. The manual is hard to read.
Several people tried to help me through “Customer questions & answers” but no one seems to see the problem that I tried to show with the photo here. I guess I could install the “chain cover (B in the photo)” later. PROBLEMS: (1) the chain speed was extremely slow and cut nothing, though; (2) I got smoke coming out of the area (B in the photo) instead of exhaustion
[6/3/2023] So any potential buyer should know this (check the second photo). This is all that I could do with the chain cover. Like I said, if I managed to install it in a normal-looing way, then the chain speed is very low, generating heat in the cover. If I run it without the chain cover installed, it seems running so normal. So the chain cover prevents it from working normal. Yet no one seems to understand what the problem is in the chain cover. By the way if I continue to work in the way that the second photo shows, the nuts get loosed and chain comes out of the guide. Unsafe.
