Comfortable and my husband and i can talk
Great helmets. We took them for a ride this weekend. Easy to connect to each other and was very nice to be able to talk during our ride. We like to take long rides on the many trails available in N. Florida and I like to stop and take pictures. Before we would have to stop or dangerously (for me) turn around to yell at each other if we need to talk. These helmets made a wonderful ride, very comfortable, forgot I even had it on and could hear the quiet of nature but still easily talk to each other. The only drawback was that we could not listen to our own music. If we tried to turn it on, we were sharing whoever had their music playing and it was like listening to a phone call where the person keeps going in and out. I’m 64 and turning around to talk to my husband would cause me to swerve sometimes when i wanted to speak with him. This eliminated that problem completely. Very happy with our purchase so far.

    Excellent for group riders.
I have to say these work exceptionally well. I bought two of these so my wife and I could communicate on our rides. The design is slightly lackluster but it allows for breathable airflow. The connectivity was simple through my Galaxy S22 Ultra and my wife’s S24 Ultra phones. My helmet fit was perfect with no looseness. My wifes helmet was a little snug with the small but she says it fits. Both of these helmets felt really sturdy and are surprisingly lightweight. I’m sure these will supply ample protection to the noggin in an accident. The bluetooth is a plus but the intercom functions is why I got these and it works great. While they sound perfect around 2/10 of a mile they start distorting past that. Thats great if you intend on riding and communicating within that range. I have to say that these do seem a little costly at the normal price, but they’re worth it. I got mine on a Prime Day sale and loved getting $30 off the price on each of these.

    Great For Communication
I purchased the Sena R2 for my wife and myself and my first impressions are pretty good.
It is fantastic to be able to communicate clearly with my wife or biking buddy even while a couple of blocks away. The intercom sound is great. I can hear her voice loud and clear. I can even hear her change gears. The back light makes us more visible to cars and each other. The option to take a phone call is nice if needed but there is a small delay on voice when we call each other.
The helmet is semi comfortable. I have never worn a helmet before for any amount of time so …….It seems like you can dial it in on your head pretty well for comfort.
The sound of music is only OK. It is better than I expected after reading the reviews. It just has zero bass but it sounds better than a “transistor” radio. Also like one review implies if you had some kind of add on to your ear it may sound better. You can put your hands or fingers around your ears and change the sound dramatically. Unfortunately it sounds worse when I do that but possibly with some research you could figure out that sweet spot of coverage to add a small amount of bass.
I had zero issues connecting our helmets and updating software on the helmet. I am computer literate. Actually it was easier than expected. I downloaded sena bluetooth device manager and had one helmet plugged in to pc with usb. As it started it already recognized it was plugged in and after a couple of clicks it updated firmware.
I stopped the device manager, plugged the other helmet in and started the device manager. It recognized the second helmet and I did same exact thing to update second helmet. Just download update again(1)…
    No problems!
I have not ridden a bike in around 35 years. My wife and I got a couple bikes and are at the beginning of our biking experience. We bought all kinds of shit. I think these helmets are one of the best things we got. I got the black which is on sale. She wanted the white and she got the white which is about 40 bucks more. Bottom line we both are happy. I have no idea how other smart helmets compare. We are happy though.

I’ve used the Sena R2 EVO helmet for over 2 weeks now and the helmet is doing exactly what was described. I could easily connect to my phone with the assistance of the app, each trip the bluetooth connection is engaged without a flaw. The quality of the sound, both music and phone conversation is excellent. The light on the back is a nice addition i didnt really need, but its a nice plus for visibility.
I wasnt really able to the quality when confronted with an impact, but i hope that will remain for ever the only downside to this review 🙂

VERAMENTE SODDISFATTO. Batteria durata 6 ore ascolto e 3/4 telefonate e ancora ne aveva… BELLISSIMO PRODOTTO

I read the reviews and was a little uncertain whether to buy one of these helmets. I did a bit of research and this helmet kept coming up in the top 5 smart helmets. It arrived quickly and the set up was really easy. You don’t need to use the Sena R2 app to connect to your phone. It connected via bluetooth very easily. I’ve mainly been listening to Radio 4, podcasts and audio books. I had read reviews which said people couldn’t hear the speakers over the sound of the traffic or the wind. I live in central London and I’ve been cycling along really busy roads during rush hour and I can hear what’s going out of the speakers perfectly clearly. I did receive a phone-call from my husband and couldn’t hear him very well, but then I realised the phone volume for calls had been turned down.
There is a light on the back of the helmet which either shows solid red or flashing red. It works very simply by pushing the very obvious button. Below that button is the charge point. It glows red when it’s charging and blue when it’s fully charged (I read someone else’s review that said there wasn’t a light to indicate it was charging so perhaps they’ve made an improvement to the helmet since then).
Overall, this has been a great purchase. So much so, I’ve bought my husband one too.
