Exceeded expectations – great tires
I decided to wait a month before writing this review. This is my second electric scooter. My first was about 6 years ago and my biggest issue at the time was the amount of punctures I had. Changing the tires was absolutely awful. So much that I ended throwing it away. Now I needed to get a new one to commute to work and I did A LOT of research from all the main brands and models. My priority was the tire life. While this model didn’t have the best Amazon reviews I read elsewhere that the self-healing, tubeless tires where great. Plus Segway is a great brand so I decided to go with this one.I am not disappointed. It is a little tough on the suspension but, again, I knew this was a consequence of getting this type of tire. The scooter feels sturdy, good grip. The app is amazing. The speed is decent. I don’t go the max speed but I’m also 195lbs and the max is 220 so the heavier the rider the slower it will go. It is a little heavy and what I dislike the most is the unlatching and folding process. But luckily I never do it so it’s not an issue for me.Overall I am very happy with the price-value of this scooter. I definitely recommend it for those who are willing to sacrifice suspension and speed but guarantee tire life.

Just an amazing scooter
When i got my hands on the scooter, and wow, this thing is solid! The build quality is top-notch, feels super durable. Braking is a dream, smooth and responsive, no complaints there. And the acceleration? Let’s just say it throws you back with a smile on your face. Seriously impressed with how this scooter performs, it’s a blast to ride. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a quality ride. It’s definitely worth every penny!

Great scooterI’m 84 kg and it works well on slopes, giving a good speed.

Wonderful escooter. Worth it!
I love this scooter. It’s reliable and coasts on sport mode. Pretty easy to assemble, not a lot of steps. A little bumpy on the road but this is my first escooter. Great job Segway!

Fantastic scooter â 500 miles in SF
This scooter is amazing. Components are very high quality and integrated exceptionally well. It is very nimble and looks great in person.* Great handlebars. Better than most other Ninebot models with narrower cheaper-looking handlebars.* Very maneuverable. Wide deck and handlebars combined with the scooterâs light weight provide great handling.* Turn signal indicators are exceptional. SUPER bright, and visible both behind and in front of you because theyâre mounted on handlebar edges and have lights on the front and back. Theyâre so bright theyâre even somewhat visible in the daylight. Given that you normally have both hands on the bars and canât indicate direction with your hands, these turn signals are a game changer when riding on roads.* Super portable at 40 pounds. Easy to fold and fairly compact. Iâve taken it on elevators, escalators, into grocery stores, shopping malls, coffee shops⦠Itâs great for running errands around the city.* Speaking of shopping, the included hook on the stem is fantastic. Just right for 1-3 plastic grocery bags. Way better than hanging bags over the handlebars.* On full battery, easily gets up to 20mph. Wind and hills arenât a problem. It does well even on SF hills.* Display and software are great. Apple Find My software feature and ability to connect to the scooter when itâs off remotely via Bluetooth and check settings or turn it on (and off again) are great.* Great build quality. Nothing rattles, no fenders falling off, and doesnât look like an untested parts bin (which so many other scooters do). Trustworthy scooter build quality is hard to come by. Many cheap parts bin scooters eventually suffer from stems snapping due to metal fatigue. Yes, imagine that happening at full speed. Given Segwayâs extensive experience with rental scooter fleets, their build quality is on another level from most of the competition.Having ridden the scooter for 500 miles, itâs not without cons. Nothing major, but I hope theyâll come out with a more advanced model in the future.* Performance drops off below 40% battery. Sport mode effectively becomes Drive mode. Below 10% itâs crawling at 12mph or less. Definitely donât expect to be riding until the very last mile of range.* Range at the highest speed is so-so. My 13-mile commute is somewhat hilly and very windy, with a few stops. Iâm 170 pounds with gear, and I get home with just 25% left. Given the performance drop-off at the end, the effective range is just ~15 miles at the full 20mph speed.* The stem latch mechanism unlatches easily if the scooter is laying on the side. Annoying if you need to lay the scooter down, e. g. in the trunk. Itâs also latching off-center, which makes carrying the scooter a bit awkward.* I wish it had hydraulic suspension. The front spring suspension and soft tires smooth out small cracks, but you definitely wouldnât want to hit a big pothole. If you hit a lot of cracks or bumps at full speed, youâll have sore legs.* The brakes are mediocre. Itâs only a front disk brake. Thereâs no ABS. The brakes are tuned to be gentle and progressive rather than offer max stopping power. Itâs good for not flying over the handlebars, but bad if youâre a more experienced rider and need to stop NOW. I wish the scooter had an electronic brake in the rear.* The scooter is limited to 20mph. It wonât accelerate past that. Itâll also beep at you if you exceed 20mph going downhill. On full battery, if not for the limiter, it could certainly go faster than 20. I wish it could do 25 to keep up with traffic on 25mph roads.Overall, itâs a great scooter for what it is, and I definitely recommend it. I donât know why I expected more than was advertised. I may have been better suited by the G2 Max, but itâs much less portable, doesnât handle as well, and has (imo) a worse deck. The grass is always greener somewhere else. I hope theyâll make an F2 Pro Max in the future. In the meantime, the F2 Pro is a great choice you wonât regret.

Needs bluetooth over 9.3mph
Too much tech, not enough mobility for ADA use. Without bluetooth it is programed to reach only 9.3 mph instead of 20 mph. Scooter has very little power up a hill. With bluetooth and an activated account, it will only connect within about 50 feet of each other. Outside of this range will cause the scooter to ride super slow (eco mode 9.3mph). The app takes away the fun and function of the scooter. So it is not worth keeping and it gets sent back!

Best for commuting 1-2 mile everyday
I use the scooter to go to my work and gym. Both of them are in 2 mile radius from my place. The speed is great, it took me 25 mins to get to work, with scooter i can get to work in 6-7 mins. I keep my maximum charging to 85% to keep the battery at optimum health. It usually takes 12-14 miles to drain the battery, i can get more out of it on ECO mode. I usually operate the scooter on Sport mode with maximum acceleration. The tires are okay, i would have liked suspensions as there are bumps on the roads where i usually travel on. But it is dependable and a really great product. With the app you can set a digital lock and also enable Find My on the scooter and add it to your phone.

added the lock and the phone stand to complete it! the ride is smooth and the batterylife is good, the handles can scratch easily so be careful, other than that pretty strong !

Overall amazing:Pros:- Can compact the scooter down to be able to carry on transit or in the back of a car.- Range is good, I did something like 30-36KM on the highest speed setting, with lights on around Toronto to get back home before the subway opened up and had around 10-15% left.- Bell included (also has a horn but I havenât used it)- Running, break and turn lights included. Great visibility with the front headlight.- Has some built in security features like setting a passcode to power on the device and allows to connect to Apple tracking.Cons (not deal breakers):- Headlight is a bit too bright, wouldâve been nice to have a high and low setting, although probably better to be visible to other road users.- Can be a bit too heavy to lug around, not really much that can be changed though.- If youâre not a huge fan of connecting to apps to register the product this might not be for you although I get why they did this to try and reduce theft resells by registering it to an account. Also, if you do get this for the love of god donât go on busy roads and TO FOLLOW traffic laws. This thing can go pretty fast and I can see a lot of people getting carried away thinking they are a nimble car that doesnât have to obey stop signs and lights. Iâve seen people drive in cars blindspots to get around and other dangerous maneuvers. This is an extremely affordable alternative to a car where insurance can be 600+ a month for new drivers (thanks Toronto for that) to get around the city. Donât be a knob and ruin it.
