This was a lot of fun to build.
Iâve only built the pirate ship, and Lego packed a lot of really nice details into this model. It was a quick and easy build that looks really good on the shelf but is definitely playable. My only âcomplaintâ is purely technical – you canât run a square-rigged ship directly downwind with both the maintopsâl and foretopsâl set – the maintopsâl would block the wind, and the foretopsâl would hang slack. You can brace about enough for both sails to catch wind, but not with this model.

I purchased this for my 12 year old son, who loves Legos. He built this set on his own, didnât take too long and it turned out awesome! Very neat, lots of details and different parts of the set we didnât know it had until it was built. Definitely one of our favorites sets of all time!
