This is the 1080P upgrade for the PV900 EVO! Looks just like a cell phone, yet records hours of HD quality video on a micro SD card. The PV900FHD DVR is a law enforcement grade DVR built into a cell phone that has motion activation, time and data stamping and high definition covert video recording! The high grade, high resolution low light hidden CCD camera is built into the top of the cell phone. Press a secret function key once you turn the covert video system on for recording and the screen of the cell phone looks like a normal cell phone. No one but you knows that it is recording video. Once the covert video operation footage is obtained, simply walk away with your cell phone. Press another secret function key and the high resolution video with time and date stamping can then be reviewed with the high resolution cell phone screen.

    Lame!
    I purchased this 11 months ago. I’ve only used it four times. Three times it failed to record after several seconds. I tried a different card I tried to different battery. Then I tried to find somebody to offer tech-support and nobody wants to touch it because they didn’t sell it. I would not recommend this. I did talk to one person in some other country who started explaining the 90 day warranty and I hadn’t even asked about replacement. They just don’t want to hear about it.

    Been a Private Investigator this is a great tool for my job. It’s very easy to use and takes great quality video with date and time stamped on it

    Unless there is a setting on the unit that allows you to ‘zoom out’ I would not recommend this unit
    Lawmate makes decent products but the image quality of this phone camera is subpar — hardly 1080p. The key problem is that @ 1920 you have to be standing 15-20ft away to get subject in the picture. The issue also exists at the lower quality 1280 resolution setting. 1920 seems to be using digital zoom. Unless there is a setting on the unit that allows you to ‘zoom out’ I would not recommend this unit.

    Timestamp very unreliable.
    the most unreliable Time stamp…. you literally cant get the time stamp exact because the seconds are completely random.
    for example: I set it at 11:00 and it will randomly add 30 seconds or 50 seconds or 9 seconds out of no where… so after a day it will already be a few minutes off.
    time stamp is very important in my job so it makes this very unreliable for Private Investigators.

    not good low light performance, but otherwise works well
    for the most part this works as advertised. However I am a little disappointed in the low light performance. I have the predecessor for this camera and it’s low light performance is much better. Other than that no issue, the picture quality is quite good (as long as you have sufficient light) battery life, features, etc, all seem to work well
