It isn’t the product. It is the company behind it.
Every factory can produce defects and some slip by quality control. This string trimmer worked out of the box. The following week it would start and idle but wouldn’t rev up to a working level. Applying pressure to the throttle killed the engine. I assumed it was a fouled spark plug and ordered a replacement. The replacement arrived and I installed it. It didn’t resolve the problem. I contacted Husqvarna and discovered that their support is paid support. A customer with a brand new product can’t talk to anyone without paying.So I went to the Amazon site to file a return and found the return period had expired. I called, explained the issue to the support person and that person took care of the refund for me. 5 stars to Amazon support. Thumbs down to Husqvarna. Husqvarna wouldn’t work with me so Amazon supported the product for them.I assume the manufacturers are having issues competing with Chinese manufacture so made the logical choice of ordering a Chinese made string trimmer with good reviews with twice the power for $30 less. Naturally I ordered it from Amazon. Keep looking. You should be able to find a better product for less money right here.

I use this trimmer for my landscape business. For your typical grass trimming, this works great! It has very little vibrations, I can run it for 30-40 minutes without my hands going numb. It always easily starts and runs great! I love that it is lightweight and easy to maneuver. If you are looking to do thick weeds or large areas of weeds, you will want a more powerful machine. I’ve had it for 3 years and only issue I’ve had is the start/stop switch stopped working. Not a big deal, new switch is only a couple dollars and I can run it without the functioning switch, just have to use the choke to turn it off.

Read reviews about 20 different units. Price, availability and brand made me choose this. It has started every time without fail. Used up a spool through the summer and it reloads about average. Prime, use choke, even on warm startup and away it goes. Drain it for the year and run it out of fuel for storage. Had a Stihl product once and could never get it to run right. This one so far is on par with them all.

No one would answer the phone for customer service. The plastic auto feeds is terrible. Fell apart. I had a craftsman that lasted for years. Having trouble finding a trim head. Disappointed.
